Sujet de thèse

Ph.D in History. Un funzionario dell’Impero nelle Province Venete asburgiche: la figura del commissario distrettuale (1819-1848)

ABSTRACT. The goal of the work is to offer a detailed account of the most significant results of a three-year study of the commissari distrettuali employed by the Empire in the so-called Habsburg Provinces of the Veneto in the first half of the 19th century, especially from 1819, the year in which this position was officially created, until 1848, when revolutionary movements put an end to the so-called “second Austrian domination” in the former territories of the Serenissima.
